Well, we celebrated by driving down to Anna Maria Island for the afternoon. It's a beach off of Bradenton, south on I-75. Very quaint, rental cottages, lots of senior citizens, and a quiet, natural beach. We sat in the sand for awhile, then had an early dinner at the SandBar restaurant on their back deck right on the Gulf. Then drove to the county park to watch the sunset on a picnic table.
Friday night we asked our friends Cayla and Tony to come watch Meredith for a few hours so we could go out for the night. We met up with Dave, Chris, Clay, Kevin and Rachel for some Westshore Pizza, then bowling. I didn't bowl, just wasn't in the mood, but Rachel, Susan, and I had fun watching the guys and laughing at them and the other interesting characters playing (women with mullet hair styles, the really serious leagues, etc.) I got in trouble by some teenage worker for my flash photography. Oops, guess I didn't realize that a flash could really mess up the leaguers games! We stayed out a little later than what I wanted (12:30 I think), but had a blast. Tony and Cayla said the baby was o.k. for them, cryed a little and probably went to bed later than usual, but probably because she wanted to stay up and hang out with them longer, haha! Thanks guys! We owe ya one! (John will help Tony fix a door frame in their house I think)
All for now...
